Working here, I have become inured to the acronyms and terminology. I forget that a lot of our every-day words that we use are made up, until I do a spell-check. The number of acronyms, and acronyms within acronyms is downright astounding. And some have different meanings for the same letters. All kinds of fun!! But what cracks me up are the words that we make up, often from an actual word and molding it to suit our purpose.

These are just a few, just the ones that I came across in one (ONE) section of the book that I'm currently working on. Seem to like "de-" a lot. At least we don't have "deorbitation", like I've heard in some places. Sometimes, we take an acronym and turn it into a verb with tenses and everything. Can't think of one right now, but I know we have them.

I am going home now. As usual, been at work far too long. Have to be home in time to turn the outside light on before it gets dark.
