Setting: Computer lab-type room, sitting with a few coworkers. A girl strides purposefully past, her profile and back familiar. She doesn't see me, so I call out, teasingly, "There goes --. Just passing. Look at her, not even stopping to say hello."Almost at the door, she stops, turns around. Even at a distance, I can tell that it's not my friend. I don't even know this girl.
"Um, I'm not --." Exit stage left.
Cue laughter.
Sharing my embarrassment with the world. Good times.
