bye, bye, miss american pie

ADOPT DIXIE

I just finished watching American Wedding with Becky and Kay. It's the third installment, starting with American Pie. It was funny and gross - basically along the lines of the last two. But, boy, did we watch a LOT of previews; at least half an hour's worth.

After the movie, we were standing outside when four cop cars come careening through the parking lot, including one of those SUV cop cars. As I was driving out, another one shows up, followed by a tow truck, so I guess some sort of accident in the parking lot.

Yesterday morning, the puppies had a little 'venture. Becca and I had been doing yard work the previous evening, and probably hadn't latched the side gate. So, the next morning, the poochies manage to get it open and take off. This was discovered only upon the receipt of a phone call from Jen, who lives a couple blocks away, letting me know that Bennet and Apache had shown up on her door step, soaking wet. I was at home, so I started heading over to go get them, and found Dixie right outside our door, soaking wet as well. The best that we can figure is that the dogs all went for a swim, and then Bennet and Apache either ditched Dixie or somehow Dixie knew not to go to the Mendecks (she and Zoya had a little, um, altercation the last time that they were together), or whatever, but the result is that we managed to get all dogs back in the yard without any harm.

Anyway, I know this has been a random entry. But I am a random person, so "it's ALL good".
