It's a heart-stopping moment when your Flight Director asks you to personally call him on the phone. Especially after the crew has called down to ask something about which you have no idea and you just finished a discussion w/pretended confidence, hoping that you didn't say anything that was completely wrong. Fortunately, all was well, and I thought that I'd actually done a pretty good job. Isn't there a quote that goes something like, Even if you don't feel it, act confident and pretty soon it won't be an act? But when Flight gets on the loop and says, "Call me on the phone at number X", you wonder if maybe you really did muck things up properly and whether or not you'll still have a job in five minutes.Well, I still have my job! And one I'm feeling pretty good about, too, at the moment. =)
