Every good luck charm has been put away, every lucky ritual has ceased, and the boys - Ausmus, Biggio, Berkman, and the rest - have (probably) shaved. Out of the seven-game series, the Cardinals won four, sending them, and not the Astros, to the World Series. But neither team lost when they had the homefield advantage, and the Cards had the upper hand with having four games at home. What a heartbreaker! But what a series! Certainly gave it a good run. Yay Astros! And next year...go Giants! ;)
On tap for today? Nothing much. Have to stop by a friend's birthday bash, soccer game (in this horrid 100% humidity), then a Halloween party afterwards. Tomorrow it's up early to play in the first half of another soccer game, hurry home, shower, and meet up with friends to go to A&M for the football game (and to meet Apollo Flight Director Gerry Griffin!). Sunday, sleep in (yay!) and Astroworld. Then all next week it's ISO. Busy, busy.
